Scrapbooking Retreat at Sea!

img_4764

You are ALL invited to join us on our Inaugural Scrapbooking Retreat at Sea!

It’s time to stop dreaming and time to take action!

How great would it be to spend 10 days somewhere where you didn’t need to cook, clean, worry about anything? You get waited on, can go swimming or rock climbing. Even go surfing when you please?

Would you like to try your luck in a Casino, watch a parade go by while sipping on a refreshing cocktail? or even shop at exclusive shops? Watch a live show? Have a go at ice-skating?

And on top of that enjoy 12 Scrapbooking Classes?

It is all possible during our 10 day cruise – you will even have plenty of time to relax!

You could finally focus on some well deserved me time and hang out with friends discovering this fantastic cruise ship and all it has to offer as well as spend some hours crafting.

We will embark in Singapore on the 18th October 2017 and disembark in Fremantle.

Its not till October 2017 so you will have plenty of time to save. The travel agency does require a US$900 per stateroom deposit (so if there is 2 in the state room only US$450 each, if there is 4 in the room US$225 each). The final payment is due in July next year 🙂

How to Book:

The booking is through a very experienced Craft Group Travel company and you can find their page {here.}

All the information for our cruise is {here} (you can also scroll down the main page and click on it  🙂 )

Please note all prices on this page are in US$. The prices listed are special group fares BUT if the current Royal Caribbean website offers any special deal and it is cheaper – you will pay the cheaper price. Prices are locked in as soon as the travel agent has processed your booking.

Have a look at the { Royal Caribbean } website for cabin options and prices in AU$.

Feel free to give me a call if you would like more information about anything related to the cruise. 0408 913684

Personally I have booked a Promenade Stateroom. It is classified as an inside cabin – but you can look out over the promenade.

FAQ

Can we bring our family?

Of course you can, there will be plenty for them to do on the ship while you Scrap away. There is even a great kids club onboard so they will be entertained while you have some “me” time.

Is it a Party Cruise or a Retirement Village cruise?

Nope! There are families onboard, singles and groups. A nice variety. There is one area up on pool deck where no kids are allowed – allowing you to enjoy piece and tranquility!  😀

I have mobility issues – is that a problem?

There are stairs, but there are also lifts forward and aft of the ship and nothing is far away. There are also special rooms available for people with mobility issues.

Can special dietary needs be catered for?

Absolutely! Yesterday I asked the Chef (ok, not me personally – a friend of mine) about Halal and Diabetic food and it can all be catered for. You just need to add it on your booking in the comments section. And if you only want to eat cake onboard – that’s ok too. My son Alex only ordered cake from the menu one evening (yes we weren’t watching!!) and that is what he was served!

Information on the classes (samples etc) will be available in July next year. On top of the cruise fee there is a AU$450 fee for the crafters (extra family members do not need to pay this)

The $450 includes:

12 x Scrapbooking kits each valued at at least $30

1 x Scrapbooking Album (faux leather) + all the plastic sleeves needed for your 12 x double layouts. RRP $46

1 x Card making kit (we will be making 5 cards as well 🙂 ) RRP $24.75

1 x Lanyard (for your onboard sea pass) RRP $17.50

1 x t-shirt RRP $48

1 x canvas bag (fits all your kits in 🙂 ) RRP $25

I hope that you can join us!

A Well Deserved Break…

Hello Everyone!

Yes I know, it has been a LONG time since my last post. Nearly a year in fact! I have been super busy and as most of you know I have since closed my retail store and I have been busy enjoying life and not working very much!

A couple of weeks ago we embarked on our long awaited holiday and flew over to Hong Kong with all of the family – and I mean ALL! (My parents, my sisters, brother -in-law, his parents, my niece, my brother and sister in law and niece from Goa as well as of course my wonderful husband and our kids.)

Here are some quick highlights of our week in Hong Kong:

* The Peak via a tram that travelled at a 45 degree angle! The views up the top where spectacular!

* We also visited Noah’s Ark, the various markets and of course – Disneyland Hong Kong!

Nothing like being squished in the metro!

After a fun week in Hong Kong we then boarded our floating hotel for the week…

Voyager of the Seas!

As some of you may already know – I worked on a cruise ship for over 5 years when I finished studying Hotel Management in the Netherlands. So it was awesome going back on and meeting some of the crew I used to work with. Needless to say the kids got very spoilt!

While I was onboard, in between Rock climbing, cocktail drinking, watching shows, ice skating and swimming I met up with a few people and I was able to arrange a Scrapbooking Cruise.

Sound interesting? All the details will be listed in my next post 🙂
