Made in India….

On the 23rd December we left on a family vacation to Goa, India.

We also managed to get the timing right to be able to attend the wedding of Jasila (my husband’s cousin) and Ashwin. This wedding was extra special as this wonderful couple are the godparents to our  youngest son.

The glass bangles she is wearing are a tradition. They are worn a couple of weeks before the wedding until she gets home after the wedding. This lets everyone know she is a bride to be. The morning after her wedding she will put 12 red glass bangles on each arm and wear them for a couple of months (or as long as she wishes) which shows everyone she is a new bride. There are more different coloured bangles which mean various things.

I’m sure you will all agree that Jasila is a stunning bride! And they chose the most handsome little man as their page boy… (I’m not biased at all!)

Anway…back to Scrapbooking….. I wanted to make them a lasting keepsake of their wedding so took a wood frame, papers, paint, embellishments etc with me on our trip (didn’t have time to create before we left). This is how it turned out…

All they need to do now is add the photos once the photographer has finished with them.

The papers are from Fancy Pants, wood flourishes are from Kaisercraft, white paper blooms are from kaisercraft. Other flowers where handmade by me. The rhinestone flourish is from Prima Marketing and the wooden frame is from kaisercraft. All items are available in our store.

You can learn to make the stocking flowers in store for free on Saturday 19th January. They can be made anysize to either fit your paper craft project or maybe make a vase full of flowers for home.
